"BHIM- AADHAR PAY" app launched

On the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar jayanti, our Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi inaugurates a brand new initiative for merchants - BHIM AADHAR

This app is being said as the successor of the previous BHIM app. Here are some important facts you should know about this application.


* For Public/Users :-

> The digital platform 'Aadhar Pay' will even allow those people without mobile phones to do cashless transactions.

> Now , no need of remembering long passwords or those 4 - digit pins. As of now your fingerprint will be your password.

> Save the money that you used to pay in the mode of the fees for your credit/debit card.

> Just link your aadhar no. with your bank account & you are ready to rock.


* For Merchants :-

> This app needs Internet connection to work unlike the credit/debit card machines which used to work through telephone lines.

> For now there is a transaction limit of 10,000/- threshold kept by the government.

> This app cannot be used for fund transfers.

* Working :-                                                             Merchant needs to intall the app from play store in his smartphone. Then he is supposed to link a biometric machine to it.

 Now the customer can verify his/her identity and then select the bank from which they want to pay. The verification will be done by the app and biometric itself.

** Availability :-                                  

As of now this app is only available on play store for android devices. There is no update of getting it for iOS/Windows.
