Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Launched in India at Rs 16,999 | 5,300 mAh battery | 6.4" inch screen

As we told you earlier in our blogpost that Xiaomi recently had tweeted a poster picture on its twitter handle which said "BIG IS BACK". It was a guess that it can be the successor to Xiaomi's big smartphone MI MAX i.e MI MAX 2.

So, as expected Xiaomi has launched the Mi Max 2 at an event in India which is competitevely priced at Rs 16,999. The device has a big 6.44-inch Display and an equally big 5,300 mAh battery which is said to last two days in single charge. The only colour option available for Indian consumers is Matte Black.

Xiaomi is bringing only one variant of the device in India whose specifications are as follows :-

  • Front Camera: 5MP
  • Rear Camera: 12MP with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX358 sensor (the same sensor which is provided in MI 6)

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (battery efficient)
  • 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • IR blaster
  • 5300 mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the first product from the company to be launched both offline and online modes. The device will be available online on Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM and Tata Cliq from 27 JULY onwards. The list of offline stores includes Sangeeta, Vijay Sales, E-zone and others.

HIGHLIGHTING FEATURES :-

  • Mi Max 2 supports Quick Charge 3.0 and this is capable of charging the 5,300 mAh battery from 0-68% in just an hour.
  • The device comes with a reverse charging feature which is used to charge other devices through it.
  • The fingerprint sensor is placed at the rear which is said to be very fast.
  • The Mi Max 2 also supports an IR blaster through which you can operate all the electrical appliances at your home.
